AME Job classifieds in Websites

$

AME classifieds are increasing in websites and they all just spam like junks. Genuine vacancies you won’t find in those websites. All are posting job offers just for their own beneficiary like earning money through agency services is offering jobs by commission etc. When we search for AME Jobs, we have an aim to get job as we wish in the standard procedure. But these ad posts are entirely different from our thoughts. In my previous post about that calling agent is also advertised in a reputed website. Students are enquiring about these kinds of vacancies with a hope that they will get somewhere, but when these guys first ask their own commission, what to do? Any direct appointments for job with genuine procedures in Aviation industry? God knows!

When we discuss about AME job ads in websites, I only wanted to tell you is that “beware of frauds”. There will be genuine offers, but it will get published in genuine company’s own websites and Medias and don’t get excited to see those in free ad posting websites. I won’t say that there will not be any vacancies or you may think that the aviation people are not bothered about publishing ads for job offers. It’s entirely wrong, when they required human resources, they will publish it in there own websites and Medias and it will be genuine with standard procedures.

Some of the ads that are published in websites titles and briefings are here:
“On job training, trainee technician, AME, OJT – Delhi”
“AME Job Openings In Delhi for Females,”
“AME Jobs in India and abroad”
“Career AME - 5 urgent openings left.”
“Aircraft Maintenance Engineer / Trainee AME – Mumbai"
“go air vacancy for ame technician in Jobs, Delhi”
“ame technician OJT job JOB OFFERED from Banglore Karnataka”
“ame jobs in Airline - Travel, Delhi” “on job training for ame - Bangalore Classifieds”
“On Job Training/Apprenticeship For AME students”

Scope of AME course in Indian Aviation

AME Job is a highly paid job with great responsibilities. However, to get this job in hand is much difficult. Need to pass 4 license papers with good aviation experience and knowledge about aircrafts. AMEs are certifying flights fit for flying and pilot accept flights to take off only with his approval.

This much responsible job but very rarely people get accommodated. Mostly the engineers are from air force, as they have got up to 20years of experience and clear the license papers while service periods or later after retirements. And after Air force people, there comes the engineering graduates who earn experience from airline industries by the GET apprentice training programs and passing the AME license exams. Third and most rarely the real AME students placed as AMEs as they don’t get any opportunity to train under airline companies unlike engg graduates as they got engg degree. This is a critical situation for AME students, as they have got competitors like both air force people and degree/diploma holders.

So i conclude that the scope of AME is highly demanding, but doing special course like AME won’t give you much opportunity in aviation industry. Aviation industry needed qualified people with good experience and skills. And to get experience you need qualification, not AME education but a university engg graduation.

As the name implies, it is a responsible job for a licensed engineer to carry out Aircraft maintenance in Aircrafts according to which he have the license. There are different kinds of aircrafts and the licenses are also classified accordingly. An engineer can have more than one licenses, and he will able to certify the aircrafts for flying after the services and inspections.

Generally an AME who carries the license for a particular aircraft can carry out maintenance services and inspections, who can also certify the aircraft as “Fit for Flight”. Pilots can’t fly the aircraft without this certification from a licensed AME. So this is going to be more responsible job for a licensed engineer.

Aviation industry chooses the right person for this responsible job, so that they look for experience as well as the license. So an AME need to have enough experience to obtain his license and jobs in the industry. Aircraft Maintenances are classified according to the constructional features of an aircraft, such as Engine / Power plant, Airframe / Structure, Avionics / Instruments. These are important if we consider an aircraft design. Hence each AMEs are licensed in different categories according to this (Cat A,B,C,D,E,I,R,X etc.).

To become an AME, you need to undergo an AME ab-intio training from a DGCA approved institution / Organization. You can also become an AME by undergoing training from an Airline industry, at the same time you are holding Engineering Degree or Diploma ( B tech / Diploma in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics). If you are an ex-service Air force man, you can write the license papers with the working experience you already have.

Anyways AMEs duty is to maintain the serviceability of Aircrafts. He need to satisfy the rules and regulations to maintain the airworthiness of an Aircraft according to CAR. Any mistakes done by an AME can severally affect the life of others in danger.

Husband and wife busted Cheating for Airline Jobs

It was shocking to see these kinda news in Medias, as we are all dealing within Aviation industry. This incident happened in Ranni, Kottayam District in Kerala. This shocking thing, it was done by a couple from Kottayam, Kerala “Gods own country”. The couple offered Job in Spice Jet Airways by taking money from the students. The culprit were Vinayan and his wife Raji Chandren arrested by Perunad Police.

The cheating case was filed by Athura, a student from Trivandrum Aviation Academy. The suspect called in Athura’s number and offered Ground handling Job in Spice Jet, if she ready to pay 80,000 Rs. Athura’s father was ready to pay the advance amount 5000 Rs, rest after getting the Job. After getting the call for interview Athura’s father paid the balance amount by transferring to Vinayan’s wife’s Bank account.

John and Martin, the other students, who are also get cheated with these culprit also identified them. So the police confirmed the Arrest and remanded them. Police also found that, these people were also cheated many students who studied in Trivandrum Aviation Academy by offering Jobs in Aviation industry.

AME Colleges Providing BBA degree with AME course

As the students are suffering without a degree after AME course, AME colleges are giving BBA degree as a distant education with the course. So that when they complete three years AME training from institute they will be getting BBA degree also. This is a good opportunity for those who are studying AME course as they have blessed with some graduation offer. But for the students who are already studies AME course, who doesn’t get this degree are suffering now for higher studies.

As the AME is not considered degree, AME completed students who are looking for Aviation Jobs, other jobs etc. are struggling hard. They need to undergo for distant course in order to get a degree. Again they need to spend three or four years as distant to get a proper educational qualification. This is very critical situation for AME pass outs who doesn’t have a degree. For any jobs, including Aviation industry looking for qualified candidates. Qualification in the sense of education and experience. So in the case of AME students, they have the education but no proper qualification. They need to get training and experience in order to get a job in Aviation industry. With AME course they can’t go for any other job, even a BPO job required plus two students, but they won’t even consider AME students as they have completed a professional job oriented course. They fear that, these AME students’ will no longer working if they get some training or job in Airline industry. So they are not considering AME’s, not only them not even any other employers.

So these people who bring out BBA degree for AME students while doing the course did a better job. At least those students will get the degree with AME course. This will help them for higher studies or to get some job other than Aviation. Considering both the courses, as you did BBA you are lucky else you may suffer like 1000 of AME students who don’t have even a graduation and Job!

Letter from AME Student about AME Jobs in Aviation India

$

Dear Sir,

I am very desperate to send you this email. Your website is nice to get information regarding AME OJT, DGCA AME Questions, Resumes and Cover Letters etc. But I have a request that, please don’t post any good things about AME course. As a AME candidate I suffered a lot with this course. I have completed AME course in 2010, with AME OJT from college itself. Later I joined Air India to get further more training by some recommendations and paying money. After that I approach many airlines companies, given resumes, tried by some personal contacts in order to get a Job.

Some agents told me to pay 1-2 lakhs and they guaranteed AME Job with Salary. But I was afraid to pay money, since there were many incidents happened to my friends who get cheated by the same. So I was totally exhausted by trying jobs in Aviation Industry. Then I found that there are people who working in Aviation Documentations and tried for the same. As we are not graduates, it’s hard to get the jobs in that too. Later I tried jobs in Call Centers, Airlines Ramp Handling, and Ground Operations etc…But all went in vain as we are AMEs. They told me that, since you are completed AME course, you can try jobs in that department. If we take you, when you get AME jobs, you will quit from current job etc etc….Actually they are not willing to take an AME holder as there are lot many human resources holding graduation. If I took any degree like BA, B.com I should have get those job I think. Anyways its my bad luck, and the same time many more AME students like me still suffering with no jobs.

So I kindly request you to stop posting contents about AME course and its advantages. Instead you can write about the useful things like AME Job vacancies, AME cheatings, etc. I wish to inform all students who are going to take AME course that “Please don’t get cheated by AME course. It wont give you anything unless you have a support from Aviation industry. May be in future there will be vacancies, but you can take some other degrees related to Aviation.” As we don’t have a degree with three years of study, we really suffers. We can’t go for further studies and do any other jobs other than Aviation.

Thank you very much sir, for reading my email. Please consider my request and help other AME students. Best wishes for you future posts in this website and its fun to read.

Your’s  faithfully,
………………….

How I Become an Assistant AME Technician

$

Now, I am so happy to say that I am working in Malaysian Airlines as assistant tech and I am from Chennai, India. I have completed AME course and was very much worried about the Job same like you. I send so many mails to the HR of Airline Organization, MROs etc. Finally I did AME OJT from where I have completed my course. I don’t want to share my personal things, but I assure you that you can try your best after AME course, and don’t get disappointed by others talks.

Ok let me tell you how I reached this post of assistant tech from 0 experience in Aviation Industry. Well, when I started I only had 6 months AME OJT, later I tried to get jobs in aviation, but it was very difficult to get. I contacted many of my friends, seniors and relatives who got some contacts in aviation industry. I applied some interviews and written some exams for training. Finally I got training from Kingfisher Airlines of six months, and from there I learned new things and got some great valuable contacts and information. After 3 months of training, I got an information that some of the senior techs where resigning from their job as they got selected in other big airline companies abroad. This was a great opportunity for me, and I have appeared and interview conducted in our own firm got easily selected as the people who are conducting the test where some of my trainee instructors and their main team leaders. So I got a good position in the firm where I was a trainee. Since I was a trainee, I had to undergo 3 more months training and after that I got my job in the same industry.

From kingfisher, I got 2 years’ experience and later with some contacts using online, I applied for Malaysian Airlines Services Company. I have send my CV with experiences from Kingfisher Airlines and I got a reply to have an interview with some of their reps from New Delhi. It was not so hard and they have selected me and arranged for Malaysian Working Permit. It was a contract based job, but it may open a new door in front of me if the MAC satisfied my performance. Now its almost 2 years passed, still I am in Malaysia, and In the previous month I got the selection as assistant tech.

Here the funny part is, I don’t even cleared any AME license papers.  Only thing I had was  my training and experiences. So friends, don’t need to worry. Get 2-3 years  of working experience and apply. You can get the job. Don’t forget to learn the things thoroughly and be confident in interviews. Good luck.

Want A Job Always In Demand? Become an AME

$

Nowadays it’s hard to find a career that offers job security and is in demand. However, if you decide on the career path of an aircraft maintenance engineer, you will be doing just that. Planes cannot fly or function without the assistance of an aircraft maintenance engineer. So, not only are the passengers dependent upon you, but so is the entire airline and its employees. And despite the harsh economic climates, travelling via airlines is still in high demand.

While pilots and flight attendants often get all the attention with their jobs, the career of an aircraft maintenance engineer is often overlooked. Yet, this career is always in demand and has many benefits like stability, insurance and great pay. In this position you will also be faced with some of the most cutting-edge technology out there that will help you look over and check each aircraft before it's allowed to fly in the skies. Once you train in this position, you can pretty much pick and choose where in the world you want to work and for which airline due to the high demand.

Training

Becoming an aircraft maintenance engineer is no easy task. You’ll need to take aviation courses that will deliver all the key training needed to work on these giant machines. You will also need to learn how to diagnose and fix any problems these planes may have. Once you finish your training, you will receive a license that can be used in many countries. For instance, if you train in Australia, that same license will be accepted in India, Canada and New Zealand. The majority of aircraft maintenance engineer positions are full-time ones that also pay above average earnings. Once your training is complete, the unemployment rate for this career is extremely low.

Tasks

Some of the responsibilities of an aircraft maintenance engineer include testing, inspecting, dismantling, repairing and then putting the aircraft engine back together, as well as the electrical systems of the aircraft, its ancillary motors and engine. It will be your job to test all the communication equipment, handle the subassembly and assembly of the aircraft's frame, do pre-flight inspections, test the oxygen system in the aircraft and plenty more. Additionally, you will need to keep detailed records of everything you've done so a clear history of the aircraft is always available. The safety of everyone aboard, both the flight crew and the passengers relies on you and the work that you do.

Skills

True Life as an AME student India

Here I wish to discuss my true life as an AME student. I have completed AME course from Nehru college of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences, Coimbatore. It took almost 3 years of my teenage life to study this course after my plus two. My dream was to be a pilot but my family could not afford that much expense since the pilot training needs more money to spend. However I thought to be in Aviation industry and joined AME course to become an Aircraft mechanic At least.

Initially I felt the course was very tough, but gradually I felt it so easy to understand the things. But I could not believe that the course was neither degree nor diploma. Now I felt really bad when someone asks my qualification. If I says, AME then they will ask, what it is and blah blah…So I need to explain everything about the course to make them understand. The sad thing I felt was the qualification matter, and wasted 3 years for nothing.

Even I had a hope in my mind that, after the course I will get some jobs in aviation industry and it was in vain. There was many jobless AME people who are experienced enough waiting outside and how we are gonna get it, since we are fresher’s? So after the course, I went for 6 months OJT in college itself where I studied AME course and got the AME course completion certificate. But with these institutional experience of 6 moths, how can I get the job in aviation industry or airlines? I was depressed and don’t know what to do that time. My parents try to console me, but it was all my faults and I could not stop my anxiety about my future life.

Finally I thought to quit AME course and do some other job or get some degree. To get job in any other field is very difficult as I did a professional course, and I need to lie to get job. So I did it and got a job in Car sales department or Maruti Suzuki. While working there, I joined B.com as distant course and had my expense from my salary each month from Sales. Within 3 years, I got my degree as distant, and I quit the job as sales staff and joined a good company as an account manager. From their learned many things and got many contacts and friends. They helped me a lot and one of my senior staff helped me to go abroad to do a better job.

Now I am thinking, why I did AME course? Why I could not do this before and wasted more than 3 years for a course that not at all useful for me? So this is what I learned from life, you should have a plan of life according to the circumstances and self-evaluation. Listen to your elders, and experienced people; get a thorough information about what you are gonna do and what you will achieve if you did so…

What is AME OJT for AME Students?

$

0
AME OJT is an ON JOB TRAINING for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering students for six months and it’s a practical training from Aviation Organization approved by DGCA India. After two and half years of theoretical training from the AME colleges or Institute students are gone out for this OJT to different Aviation industries all over India. Those candidates successfully completed this 6 months training from these organizations can receive their course completion (CC) certificate from the institute where he/she studied AME course.

Some students trying OJT abroad, but there is a problem in that. If you did AME course from India, you have to do the OJT also from India itself. And it is compulsory according to DGCA CAR rules and regulations. If you are not getting the training from aviation industries, some institutes itself providing hands on training like OJT and you can do the same in order to complete the AME course and nothing wrong in that. In other case, if you are doing the training from aviation industries you may be getting the real job experience as you are going to work on that environment. However that is not a big deal if you are getting two much time waiting without getting the CC from institute after completing the theoretical training.

I have already posted the organizations where you can apply for OJT. It is not necessary that they will accommodate every students that apply for training. And these days more and more AME students are waiting for this OJT from organizations. At the same time aviation industries are less in our country to accommodate these many students who are completing AME course each year. So they are even asking fees from AME students to avail OJT from them and this is going to be very tough for some students who are economically backward. Anyways, there are some free training and interviews going on certain periods in HAL, Air India, Jet airways etc…and they are taking candidates who are eligible for training and job after if they found fit
